Enrollment is open to students studying Suzuki violin at all levels who use Suzuki methods and materials. Students will participate in daily master, technique, and repertoire classes. In order to get the most from the institute experience, it is recommended that families be available to take part in the various activities offered in addition to their specific instrument classes. Discussions, recitals, and films are as much a part of the institute as the core classes. Each student is expected to play a polished piece (performed fluently with correct notes, bowings, dynamics, and style) at the first session of the master class in order for the teacher to asses the students’ needs. STUDENTS MAY BE CHOSEN TO PLAY IN A SOLO RECITAL DURING THE WEEK BASED ON THEIR PERFORMANCE FOR THEIR MASTER CLASS TEACHER THE FIRST DAY OF THE INSTITUTE.

Students may choose to take one or two enrichment classes (see Enrichment Classes). Early enrollment in these classes is encouraged as they are limited in size.

The Pre-Twinkle classes are for children ages 3 – 5 who are studying privately but have not yet mastered all of the Twinkle Variations. Music and Movement will be included for these students in place of a repertoire class at no extra charge.
